Black Women in Motion Receives 2016 Laidlaw Grant

Black Women in Motion is pleased to announce that we are one of the 20 youth-focused initiatives to receive a 2016 Laidlaw Foundation grant!

The Foundation offers funding opportunities for youth-led groups that are working to bring attention to and address concerns that they are passionate about, to their peers and communities.

The Laidlaw Foundation supports young people in being fully engaged in the civic, social, economic and cultural life of diverse and environmentally healthy communities. Through grants and partnerships with other organizations active in the youth sector and by influencing policies that affect young people.

We are also a recipient of a 2016 Youth Opportunities Fund which was used to fund and cover expenses for our conference, This Means WAAR: Weekend of Action Against Rape Culture.
